These fish, whose eye area is generally light brown, have black and white spots on them. He has the ability to camouflage himself and can use this ability when there is a life-threatening situation. Their length varies between 20-30 cm, reaching a maximum size of 50 cm. It feeds on bottom invertebrates, small fish and insects.

These beautiful creatures, which are among our native fish, are found in abundance on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. It lives in our seas at depths ranging from 10 meters to 500 meters in winter. It prefers sandy, muddy or gravel bottom areas. It does not move much and makes short-distance migrations.
